Step 1: Pick a Date & Register for the Baby’s Breath Workshop
*THE NEST Password will be provided after registration for you to access the Webinars and other neonatal resources to study the midwifery-led model prior to attending the workshop. A Passing Score on the Pre-Workshop Exam is now required so all participants are prepared to jump in and practice Skills & Drills
Step 2: Determine if you need the AAP NRP Provider Course - Essentials/Advanced
*May need for your state license, CPM/CNM/RN, Your Midwifery School, or Employer
Step 3: Register for the AAP NRP Provider Course & Complete Part 1
*Go to: NRPLEARNINGPLATFORM.COM to register. Watch the video below for additional guidance.
Step 4: Prepare for your Workshop Day:
Ensure that you have registered for both Baby’s Breath and AAP NRP (*AAP NRP is if you need your “NRP Card” * see FAQs)
Complete all three Modules in THE NEST - as well as quizzes that follow each:

CATCH YOUR BREATH - PPV
SPILL THE “T” - The T-Piece
*Password to THE NEST will be shared when you complete registration

Baby’s Breath Workshop - FAQs

Our In-Person Workshops consist of an 8 hour training in a small group of 9-12 participants to review all aspects of midwifery-led transition: anatomy & physiology, hallmarks of midwifery model neonatal transition (now online prior to the in-person workshop to provide more time for in-person skills & drills), skills such as PPV, T-Piece, CPAP, LMA, Chest Compressions, UVC, Charting, and Transfer. This is followed by an afternoon session of group scenarios/drills that pull it all together and reinforce Teamwork, Best Practice Transfer Techniques, and Debrief/Trauma Release.
Become a MEMBER by completing either the in-person or virtual course and receive the following for 2 years following your course date:
Access to the Baby’s Breath online courses/webinars to review prior to attending the in-person workshop - additional CE provided on completion at no extra fee.
Access to THE NEST for additional neonatal care resources

NO - Only those required by their license, certification, or school/employer need to complete AAP NRP training. Baby's Breath adheres to ILCOR guidelines and offers thorough training in neonatal transition and resuscitation. The curriculum and skills are midwifery model & evidenced based - helping participants master the unique aspects of neonatal care in the community setting (home, birth center, or transfer).

Yes, If you register for & complete the AAP NRP Essentials or Advanced 9th Edition Online Provider Training (additional fees of $75/$65 respectively apply) PRIOR to coming to the workshop. Baby’s Breath Satisfies Part 2 (Instructor-Led Event) of the AAP Provider Training - Essentials & Advanced.

If you required to have the AAP NRP course for your CPM, an accredited midwifery school, your state license, or employer - you likely will need all the lessons (Advanced) 1-11. Contact your organization to discuss your individual requirements before registering with AAP NRP.

AUDITING is open to those that are in the 2 year window of taking their last Baby's Breath workshop. If you are not in that window or have never taken the workshop before (regardless of your current AAP NRP Provider Training status) you will need to register in the Professional or Student Category.

Yes, CE is provided at no extra cost to all those that attend Baby's Breath for the hours that they chose to participate - even if Auditing. Auditing is open to MEMBERS to practice skills and drills and get updates on current neonatal topics in midwifery-led transition. This is a wonderful way to continue your newborn education and ALWAYS encouraged (class size permitting).
